MIDI Guitar Pitch Bend Range Settings

Most keyboard instrument patches default to a pitch bend range of +/-2 half steps (a whole step). However, MIDI guitar controllers often use a pitch-bend range of +/-12 half steps (a full octave), because a guitar can easily bend strings farther than a whole step (much farther in the case of vibrato bar effects). For best results verify the pitch-bend range your guitar synth is sending, then set the receiving sound module (or software instrument) patches to a matching pitch-bend range so they properly track the pitch-bend range the guitar synth is sending out.
