Think you have a lot of microphones in your studio? Probably not compared to Bob Paquette! Paquette began collecting microphones in 1950 and currently has more than 1,000 mics, most of which date to pre-1950. He displays the mics at Bob Paquette’s Microphone Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has also written a book about microphones. In addition to mics, the museum has a collection of mic spec sheets, patents, catalogs, ads, literature, articles, technical papers, and more. Associated gear is also displayed, such as stands, transformers, preamps, and test equipment. The museum is free to the public. Check it out.
