We’re always excited when we get a new arrival from Martin, and when we get two, it’s even better. The first new arrival is one of their environmentally-friendly Certified Wood guitars. This means the woods involved in construction of this instrument (except top and braces) are from forests certified by the Smartwood Program of the Rainforest Alliance to comply with environmental, social & economic standards. Top & braces are from reclaimed pulp logs. The second is a member of Martin’s Vintage Series acoustic guitars, the D-18V Dreadnought. It features many of the characteristics of Martin’s pre-World War II instruments – old-style squared headstock, modified V-shaped neck, period fingerboard inlays, scalloped bracing, etc – with a solid Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides.
Ablelton has released an OSX compatible version of their Live software. This beta 1.5 rev is available for download on their website. The upgrade also includes ReWire master and slave support, a new reverb, less CPU drain, and a lot more.
