After just launching their new Studiophile AV 40 monitors, M-Audio has announced an even smaller version: the Studiophile AV 20 portable desktop speaker system. Designed for travel or tight desktop spaces, the miniscule AV 20s can fit in the corner of a carry-on bag, and provide a practical alternative to headphones or bulkier speakers when you go mobile.
With a 2″ composite woofer, 1″ ferrofluid-cooled Mylar dome tweeter, crossover, and an internal 10-watt amplifier per channel, the Studiophile AV 20 promises solid bass, crisp highs, and realistic imaging. The monitors also feature magnetically shielded drivers so they can coexist with computer monitors and other electronic gear without interference. The custom cabinets boast dense wood construction for tight, accurate bass response, and an angled design directs sound to the ear for greater precision and listening satisfaction.
According to M-Audio, Studiophile AV 20s should ship early this year, so watch Sweetwater.com for arrival!
