“Is there a convenient way to launch a Classic Environment Control Panel on a Mac while in OSX?”
If you need to do this regularly the best way is to create an alias of the control panels folder and pace that alias in OS X’s Dock. It will then open the control panels menu for you. Whenever you want to open a classic control panel, all you need to do is click and hold on the control panels folder alias in the Dock, wait for the hierarchical menu to appear, and select the control panel of your choice. Of course if you do not already have the Classic Environment running it will take time for it to launch, but at least you don’t have to launch it first and then get it to the foreground before being able to get to your control panels.
