Korg just delivered their new mini “Pocket Studio” to our door, the PXR4. They don’t call it a “Pocket Studio” for nothing – the PXR4 is tiny! This 4-track digital recorder records directly to SmartMedia card and includes some great mixing and editing features, a full-sized menu of I/Os, and even great modeling effects.
Sample Tank has announced their version 1.1 update for their software sampler. The update adds VST and MAS support and can be downloaded from their website for free.
The Film Music Network, a worldwide professional organization for those working in the film, television and multimedia music industry, has announced a new program that matches film and television composers who have been selected for scoring projects with established composer agents who will negotiate on behalf of composers on a per-project basis. The Composer Agent Referral Program is now available to network members who have been asked to score a film, television or multimedia project and desire agency representation to negotiate the fees and terms for the project.
