Native Instruments just released KONTAKT 2.2, an update for its acclaimed flagship sampler. The new version includes a wide range of functional enhancements and optimizations that range from improved loop handling and to extended KSP and Universal Import functionality (which now supports five additional formats), not to mention full compatibility with Intel-based Macintosh computers. The 2.2 update for Windows and Mac is now available as a free download for all registered users of KONTAKT 2 on the NI website. For installation on an Intel-based Macintosh computer, a Universal Binary license code is required. This can be purchased for $29 in the NI Online Shop. Customers who first registered KONTAKT 2 after September 12th, 2006, are eligible for a free Universal Binary license code.
