Native Instruments has released a public beta of the upcoming Kontakt version 3.5. Registered users of Kontakt 3 may join the public beta testing (a version 3 serial number is required to use the beta). The new version of Kontakt will include numerous improvements, such as:
- Windows Vista 64 compatibility
- 64-bit memory addressing for OS X and Windows Vista 64
- new DFD engine
- advanced multiprocessor support
- new Kontakt Player library browser
- MIDI learn for all sliders and knobs
- Improved automapping
- effects slot bypass button
- Engine Restart button
- Mac OS 1.5 compatibility
- many other improvements and fixes
NOTE: installing the Kontakt 3.5 Public Beta will OVERWRITE your previous Kontakt 3.x installation. The beta version will expire on July 1, 2009. According to Native Instruments, the official Kontakt v3.5 release will be available prior to the beta’s expiration date.
