One change in iOS 7 is that certain apps will ask permission to use the iOS device’s built-in microphone. If you choose “yes,” all should function as expected. However, with an IK Multimedia app, if you choose “no,” that app may not be able to access sound from a connected audio interface. There is an easy fix:
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Privacy.
- Click on Microphone.
Apps requesting access to the device’s microphone will be listed here. Make sure that the switch is turned on for any IK Multimedia apps, and audio interfaces should work with the IK apps.
