2012 marks the landmark 50th year in business for microphone manufacturer Audio-Technica. Founder Hideo Matsushita opened the doors on his company 50 years ago, making handcrafted phonograph cartridges. The company released their first microphones, the 800 series, in the late ’70s. Today, the Audio-Technica is an international market leader in microphones, headphones, wireless systems, and other professional audio technologies.
To celebrate their anniversary, the company will be offering a range of limited edition 50th-anniversary microphones, headphones, and phono cartridges, including two limited editions of the classic AT4050 large-diaphragm condenser mic; a limited re-release of the equally classic ATM25 hypercardioid dynamic mic; limited edition versions of the AE4100, AE5400, and AE6100 headphones; limited-edition ATH-M50 headphones; and much more!
