Guitar Intonation, part 3

Yesterday we discussed how string gauge affects guitar intonation. But there are other factors as well. String height, for example, makes a difference. The higher the action, the farther the string will stretch when fretted, and the sharper a given note will be. This is why bridge saddles must generally be adjusted backward when raising string action.
