If the Gibson Robot Les Paul Studio and Robot SG don’t float your boat, the company has announced that it is moving forward with plans to install the tuning system in two additional models: the Robot Flying V and Robot X-plorer. Both will initially ship in the popular Metallic Red Finish. Both guitars will feature Gibson’s awesome Robot Tuning System, which offers a standard tuning preset, along with six more presets for quick and easy access to the most commonly used alternate tunings. Both guitars will have 22-fret ebony fingerboards over solid, 1-piece mahogany neck utilizing traditional neck profiles from the original guitars. Both will come standard with Gibson’s 496R and 500T humbucking pickups. Each of the new Robot guitars come with a charger and power plug, a battery pack, and a cool reptile-pattern hardshell case with white plush interior.
