We’re constantly amazed at the way the folks at M-Audio keep coming up with cool new products. The latest addition to their line of keyboards is the amazing ProKeys 88SX. The company already has an 88-note controller, but it has a weighted action keyboard, which makes it a bit on the heavy side. The M-Audio ProKeys 88SX is light enough to carry under your arm, thanks to a “semi-weighted” action keyboard. Tipping the scale at under 20 pounds, the Pro 88SX even has digital stage piano sounds onboard, and is set to sell in the sub-$400 price range, making this a real “no-brainer.”
The company has also updated its popular Oxygen 8 keyboard to version 2, and added two new models, the Oxygen 49 and Oxygen 61. Each supports up to 10 different set-ups using onboard, non-volatile memory. They’re USB bus powered (no wall warts) and even have dedicated transport controls, making them a really attractive proposition for today’s “on-the-go” musicians!
