Ventura is a new microphone preamp/equalizer from A-Designs that draws on the heritage of the vintage Quad Eight consoles. With tones ranging from crystal clear to punchy aggression, the all-analog Ventura can cover a tone of ground. A Jensen input transformer and Cinemag output transformer shape the sound, while a balanced TRS insert for external processing hardware adds flexibility.
The 3-band EQ features 33 selectable frequencies on three overlapping bands with 12dB of cut/boost per band and 3-position Q selection per band. An instrument input with its own level control specifically optimized for high-impedance guitar/bass pickups increases the possibilities for recording or live sound.
