Controlling Apogee Interfaces with Maestro

Controlling Apogee Interfaces with Maestro

Maestro Gives You Full Control over Your Apogee Interface

What’s Cool About Maestro?

  • Control every function of your Apogee interface right from your workstation
  • Manage input levels and monitoring levels without leaving your mix position
  • Keep your levels in check with comprehensive metering
  • Group related inputs for better signal management
  • Set up low-latency monitoring for a better recording experience

Streamline Your Studio Workflow with Maestro

Bundled with every Apogee audio interface is the powerful Maestro control room software, which lets you control your interface right from your Mac. From managing input routing and signal levels to monitoring your final mix, Maestro lets you fine-tune your studio workflow without having to leave your mix position. With a simple, single-window design and intuitive layout, it’s incredibly fast and easy to manage your audio interface with Maestro.

When you’re ready to record, Maestro gives you access to preamp controls such as input gain, phantom power, and polarity. But that’s not all – you can assign inputs to Groups for easier management of similar tracks, for example all the microphones on a drum kit. You’ll also be able to use Maestro to set up low-latency monitoring for a better recording experience.

Manage Signal Routing with Maestro

Maestro’s I/O Routing page helps you integrate your Apogee interface with the rest of your studio gear. You can assign outputs from your DAW software to different outputs on your interface, convenient for using external hardware to process tracks from your DAW. And you can reset your routing scheme at any time, allowing you to create new signal chains much faster than if you were physically re-patching equipment.

Maestro basically gives your Apogee interface functionality similar to a full-featured mixing console – you can set up inputs, control signal routing, check meters, and monitor with precision. On top of all that, you have the ability to calibrate input and output levels, sum outputs to mono, and toggle Apogee’s Soft Limit overload protection. From the start of your project through the finish, Maestro lets you quickly adjust your interface to meet your workflow needs.

Maestro Control for Your Desktop or iOS Device

One thing we at Sweetwater really like about Maestro control software is that it keeps you right at your workstation when you need to manage your workflow. There’s also a Maestro iOS app available for complete control when using your Apogee interface with your iPad.
