Novation has released Automap 3, the latest version of their technology for automatically mapping the controls of a Novation controller to the parameters in your music software. Automap 3 Standard (a free downloadable upgrade) adds HUI control capability, and a new start-up screen that makes it easier to manage your plug-ins and set things up. Automap 3 Pro, which costs $29.99 direct from Novation, adds multi-device support, keystroke assignments, XY pad control, drag-and-drop mappings, and Autoview mode, where the GUI only becomes visible when a controller is touched.
