Antelope Audio has announced a significant software update for the Zen Studio mobile audio interface. The update offers enhancements to Zen Studio’s Windows and OS X desktop apps that optimize flexibility and responsiveness. The main additions for this update, however, are the five new vintage EQ models (in addition to the currently available parametric EQ) that run on the Zen Studio’s internal FPGA DSP chip, in any of the 16 effects stacks in the Zen Studio desktop app:
- VEQ-1A — modeled on the Pultec EQP-1A
- VEQ-55A — modeled on the API 550A
- Helios 69 — modeled on a Helios console EQ
- NEU-PEV — modeled on the Neumann PEV EQ
- Lang PEQ2 — modeled on the Lang PEQ 2
The update also allows users more flexibility in adjusting the size and display in the application, and also includes workflow improvements such as enabling users to separate the view into multiple shards and to save the names of channels in the routing tables.
