Following the popular success of API’s 500 series platform, they’ve decided to revitalize their best-selling lunchbox. The new lunchbox touts a handful of important update, even if they are a bit technical. The first thing you’ll notice is the switch from XLR to DB25 I/O, which is a real bonus if you take your rig from one job to the next. Less noticeable are the independent power rails for each slot, which keep a single faulty module from affecting the rest. Other electrical upgrades include an increased current (215mA per slot) and a 100 VAC Input Voltage Tap internal setting, which allows wider international versatility.
API new lunchbox Features:
- 6-slot housing for 500 series modules
- DB-25 connectors for easy input and output connection (XLRs to access channels 7 and 8)
- 215mA per slot
- Power rail LED indication and resettable fuses for each power rail
- Self-Powered, 100 to 250 Volts switchable, 47 to 63 Hz
