Welcome to the 1200th issue of inSync. We’ve been going strong bringing you daily issues since February of 1997. Sony has impressed us yet again with their ability to put a lot of advanced functions into a tiny portable MiniDisc player. The latest, the slim MZ-R700 Silver, can fit in your pocket and features built-in sample rate converter, digital record level control, and more.
Steinberg has recently announced the formation of the Nuendo Producer Group. The group is made up of top audio industry professionals in support of the Nuendo Media Production System and Steinberg has appointed veteran producer/engineer Greg Ladanyi as the group’s liaison. Several top level engineers, mixers and producers in the music and post-production industries comprise the group, which was formed out of a common desire for a better way to make 24-bit, 96kHz 5.1 surround recordings, as well as accommodate for the future of stereo 192kHz and beyond.
