I’d personally like to thank each and every one of our customers for making this a great year for Sweetwater. As a small token of my appreciation, I’m excited to present you with a very cool software product called SetMaker that was designed right here at Sweetwater.
For a long time, I struggled trying to find a way to quickly and easily make set lists that I could take to my gigs. I experimented with different database programs and spreadsheets, but nothing really seemed to get the job done quite the way I needed it. So finally I approached a couple friends and we worked together to design a custom program that met my specific needs. I’m thrilled with it and now I’m offering it to you, free of charge.
SetMaker is useful for any musician who is looking for a better way to manage their collection of songs. It keeps track of song titles, styles, tempos, lengths, and more. It’s also THE FASTEST way to create and print out Set Lists for any occasion. Features include 9 touch sensitive motorized faders, 8 rotary encoders, large LCD display, full transport controls and tons more. In short, with Houston, you don’t need a mouse and keyboard to mix within Cubase VST and NUENDO. You can use your hands, just like nature intended.
M-Audio has unveiled their first studio monitors. The Studiophile SP-5B is a 2-way bi-amped near-field monitor, featuring a swivel mounted tweeter and 4th order crossover technology to deliver crystal clear sound in a variety of listening environments.
Linplug has released DaOrgan, a drawbar organ plug-in for VST based systems. They claim to have taken great pains to accurately simulate the tonewheel sound of vintage organs.
