January’s Web Site of the Month award goes to Animusic, not so much for the site, but for the achievement. Sweetwater customer Wayne Lytle and his associates have created a groundbreaking animation technology that can use MIDI data to control animation elements. Their video (which is sold on the site) shows some inventive looking animated instruments “playing” the musical score created using a MIDI sequencer.
Mackie Designs has announced a strategic alliance with Universal Audio. This means, among other things, that Mackie will become the distributor of the Powered Plug-ins as the Mackie Powered Plug-ins.
