At the NAMM show a few months ago, Digidesign was showing off so many cool new releases that picking one to hold up as “the Coolest of the Show” was impossible, but a strong contender for that title just rolled through the doors at Sweetwater. It’s called the Mbox, and it’s a compact 2-channel USB audio interface with Focusrite preamps that essentially lets you go mobile with your Pro Tools. All you do is plug in the supplied USB cable to your compatible laptop or desktop computer, launch the included Pro Tools LE, and you’re ready to go.
Check out the Sweetwater Web Prize for April. We’re giving away two different Aardvark audio systems: the full featured Q10 and the simple but capable USB3. The total value between the two is almost $1300 and because there are two prizes your chances of winning something have doubled so go get yourself registered now.
