The USB Guitar: Yes, It’s Real!

We wrote about the new Brian Moore USB iGuitar last week. But guess what? Some people were skeptical. Trust us, USB guitars are very real! What’s more, we have them in stock right now! Here’s a little information: Each guitar is compatible with either Mac or Windows systems. Like almost all the Brian Moore i-Series, you get a set of real magnetic pickups for your basic guitar sounds. Then, depending upon the model, you also may have an EMC piezo pickup in the bridge for acoustic tones and/or a 13-pin jack for connectivity to any of the Roland MIDI gear that’s available (a VG-88, for instance). That’s already a lot of options, but now add a USB port and your guitar can communicate directly with your personal computer. The USB port is bus-powered, so no battery is required. But at this point, you can do a variety of things: Record directly into your favorite software (Logic, Digital Performer, Sonar and so forth) or play directly into Native Instruments Guitar Rig or IK Multimedia Amplitude Live. Almost any Brian Moore Custom Shop, i2000, i1000, or iGuitar model may be ordered with a USB port and retrofits are available if you already own a Brian Moore.
