Native Instruments has just released a free update for its Akoustik Piano software instrument that offers significant improvements and enhancements in almost every area, including audio quality, playability, and ease of use, essentially turning an awesome program into a, well, more awesome product.
Akoustik Piano 1.1 includes an enhanced user interface, an improved Recorder section with MIDI song import, MIDI automation for a wide range of sound parameters, an adjustable “bass boost” function, and an easy-to-use output limiter. The update also increases the number of maximum voices up to 150, providing plenty of polyphony for even the most demanding piano arrangements.
The 1.1 update is now available as a free download for all registered users. NI also announced that Mac Intel compatibility for Akoustik Piano will be introduced in a separate update, which will be released in the third quarter of 2006.
