Back on July 27th, we reported on some of the new guitar models that Martin Guitars unveiled at the Summer NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) tradeshow in Nashville. Let’s continue out look at the new Martin models today!
D-18 Marquis — a Golden Era-style guitar made with CITES-friendly Madagascar rosewood. Virtually identical to its vintage predecessor!
000-18 Marquis — just like the vintage 000-18 of the 1930s, save for the Madagascar headplate and back purfling strip (in place of Brazillian rosewood).
000-18 Marquis Sunburst — a Golden Era 000-18 with the coveted 1935 top finish.
D-16 Adirondack — a solid mahogany body with a select Adirondack red spruce top braced with scalloped Adirondack spruce braces using the patented Hybrid X pattern. A vintage-toner finish and 18 Style appointments complete the package.
HDC-16RE — Martin’s first cutaway herringbone model in the 16 series! This guitar offers a unique blend of enhanced access and playability and advanced electronics combined with vintage look and feel.
HOMC-16RE — just like the HDC-16RE, but with a 14-fret, 25.4″ scale length design with a cutaway Orchestra Model body size. Exceptionally well-balanced tone for fingerpicking and studio use.
DCX1RGTE — this Dreadnought adds a rounded Venetian cutaway to the highly successful DX1RGT model, plus it includes Fishman Aero+ onboard electronics. Environmentally friendly, playable, great sounding, and affordable!
000CX1RGTE — the balanced tone of Martin’s acclaimed 000 body size with the fretboard access of a Venetian cutaway, plus onboard Fishman Aero+ electronics. Affordable, durable, and highly resonant!
