While you cannot edit QuickTime video in Peak 5, you can use the software as a full-featured audio post production tool. That means you can edit music or dialog, clean up audio or even add sound effects or additional music.
To open and edit QuickTime soundtracks in Peak you would select Open from the Edit menu, then select the QuickTime movie you wish to work on in the dialog box which appears. Click the Open button and Peak opens the video in a movie window and the audio in an audio document window. Select Movie > Movie Sound Tracks from the Options menu to Enable (or Disable) the movie’s other audio tracks (if any). From this point on, everything functions as a standard Peak document.
