Opening GarageBand Files in Logic Pro 7

Apple’s GarageBand has gotten so sophisticated that for many musicians, it’s all they’ll ever need. But let’s say you’ve been using GarageBand for years and now you are upgrading to Logic Pro to gain access to some of its super high-end features. Good news: You can easily import all your GarageBand material by using the File > Open menu option. Logic Pro comes fully equipped with all the standard GarageBand software instruments, but it also has a much more sophisticated palette of onboard sounds and sound generators, so in many cases you’ll be reassigning tracks to take advantage of Logic’s wealth of virtual instruments. Logic automatically creates the required number and types of tracks to mirror those used in the GarageBand song along with tempo and key information.
