Here’s a handy tip that can sometimes make it easier to see your iPad or iPhone’s display under adverse viewing conditions — reverse the display colors “white on black” instead of the usual black on white. Here’s how to do it:
1. Go to Settings
2. Select “General”
3. Scroll down and select “Accessibility”
4. You can turn on “White on Black” under the “Vision” menu, but then you will have to come back to Settings to turn it off again. Instead…
5. Scroll down and select “Triple-click Home”
6. Select “Toggle White on Black.” A check mark should appear by this selection.
Now, when you triple-click the Home button, your iPad/iPhone will turn on the reverse “white on black” color scheme. Triple-clicking Home again will turn it off.
