The Genelec 5040A active subwoofer combines an elegant, unobtrusive design with plenty of power and features to make itself a great addition to any desktop recording environment. The 5040A uses a downward firing, shielded 6-1/2″ bass driver that’s powered by an onboard 40-watt amplifier. Overload protection is also built in, allowing this sub to be used to its full potential. A handy remote volume control allows you to conveniently control Genelec’s 6010A monitor speakers (sold separately) in addition to the 5040A.
