AEA announced the RPQ, a ribbon microphone preamplifier with a dedicated equalizer that’s optimized for active and non-active ribbon microphones. The RPQ fits in one rackspace and offers two channels of preamplification – one of the RPQ’s preamplifiers features phantom power for your condenser microphones, while the second is without phantom power for your ribbons. You can expect plenty of clean, quiet, high input-impedance JFET gain while a tunable low-cut filter and a high boost are onboard the RPQ for further shaping your sound.
