Vintage-style Tremolo with Tons of Control!

Simple tremolo effects aren't terribly interesting, which is why the guitarists here at Sweetwater tend to prefer more versatile pedals like the Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300. This vintage style tremolo captures the warmth and natural harmonics characteristic of tube amps made in the '50s and '60s. Instead of a single intensity knob to control both the rate and depth of the effect, the UT300 lets you dial in each setting separately, offering up a wide range of effects. What's more, Behringer gave the UT300 a Wave control, which lets you change smoothly between a softer triangle waveform to a harder square, allowing you to more closely emulate transistor or optical tremolos.

Behringer Ultra Tremolo UT300 Guitar Effects Pedal Features:
  • Classic, warm, and exhilarating tremolo modeled after vintage '50s-'60s amps
  • Rate and Depth controls let you dial in the overall intensity of the effect
  • Waveform control lets you dial in softer (triangle) or harder (square) tremolo character
  • Runs on standard 9V battery or optional power supply for full pedalboard integration
  • First-class electronic On/Off switch offers noise-free operation

Reviews

Great Tremolo Pedal!

I purchased this tremolo pedal to get the so called vibrato effect from my Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb amp on my Marshall tube amp. The Tone Master's Vibrato effect actually produces a tremolo effect so to get that sound on my Marshall amp required a good tremolo pedal. This Behringer UT300 is a great pedal for reproducing the Tone Master "vibrato" on my Marhsall amp.

Behringer Tremolo Pedal for Off Road Use
This is my third purchase of Behringer products. The sound and controls are very similar to the Boss TR 2 Tremolo Pedal at about one third of the price. I bought it knowing the case is made of plastic and the unit would probably not withstand use on the road very long. I bought this for my pedal board at church which means it will be used about twice a week, and it won't be moved from place to place. I tried it out last night, and I am very pleased with the sound. Highly recommended, just know what you are buying.
Punches WAY above its weight
I love this pedal more than other gear I own at 8x the price. It's a mainstay on my board, and I feel zero desire to play anything more expensive.
It's Tremelo, so think amplitude, not frequency..

But, I know you all know that..

My amp does not have a built in tremelo effect. So how am I supposed to play "Wicked Game" or the theme from any James Bond movie?

But, at the prices Sweetwater is selling these things, I had to get it.

It is really nice. I like the ability to morph the oscillator wave shape between sine and square.

I've reviewed a few Behringer pedals today, but I haven't said much about the pedal itself.

Yes, it's plastic, yes, it's a knock off of a Boss pedal, the TR-2. But it's also less than $ US.

you may not use it on every song, or even very often, but when you need it, you need it. Get this one.

Now.. of to find the tab to "Goldfinger"

Just like I remember
I didn't need fancy. I just wanted a tremolo pedal that would give me the tremolo effect I had in my 1960's Fender amps. If that's what you want, this is the one. Priced right and has everything you need and nothing you don't.
