This Maestro Phaser Belongs in Your Orbit

The Orbit Phaser from Maestro harkens back to the early days of effects pedals and the first phaser ever produced: Maestro's PS-1. The Orbit Phaser directly inherits the PS-1’s warm, smooth phasing. Effect intensity can range from mild and suave modulation to waves of chaotic pulsation with the controls cranked to the max. It all equates to the sort of modern throwback phaser that Sweetwater pedalhounds have longed for since the Maestro name was resurrected a few years ago. Naturally, the Orbit Phaser shrinks the original PS-1’s massive footprint into a pedalboard-friendly housing that’s tailored to today’s players. Onboard, you’ll find controls for width, rate, and feedback, as well as a handy phase stage toggle that doubles the possible tones the Orbit can provide. Choose 4-stage phasing for a more subtle effect or flick the toggle to opt for a thicker tone with 6-stage phasing.

Maestro Orbit Phaser Features:

  • Vintage-inspired phaser stompbox based on the Maestro PS-1
  • Delivers warm old-school tone with an intensity range spanning mild to wild
  • 3 control parameters: width, feedback, and rate
  • Additional stage toggle lets you tailor the phaser’s voice with 4- or 6-stage phasing
  • True-bypass design with recessed illuminating Maestro logo bugle LEDs
  • Sturdy brushed aluminum finish

Reviews

Nice, rich phaser
I was looking for a phaser sound like in Rush's, The Necromancer. Alex used a Maestro PS-1a, and this pretty much nails it. Great for a general use phaser, in my opinion. Lot's of bang for your buck!
Music background: All rig, no gig.
