Shape Your Sound without Limits

The Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver DI V2 isn’t built for just one instrument — it’s built for them all. Acoustic players can tame piezo quack, bassists can add tube-inspired heft, and electric guitarists can push their amps to the edge. An active 3-band EQ with a sweepable midrange sits at the core, supported by Rumble Filter and Air switches for added contour. Given the Para Driver's parallel outputs and switchable levels, Sweetwater musicians have adapted the unit to a wide range of live and studio setups. From warm, tube-like saturation to precise mid-sculpting or airy high-end shimmer, this 100% analog pedal turns any signal into a mix-ready powerhouse — onstage or in the studio.

Versatile DI applications

The Para Driver DI V2 isn’t just a boon for players; it’s a powerful tool for sound engineers, adapting seamlessly to live sound, recording desks, or practice rigs. The pedal’s parallel XLR and 1/4-inch outputs with selectable levels and blend control effortlessly deliver clarity and warmth while allowing you to tighten up your low end to punch through a mix. Additionally, the built-in speaker/cab sim complements any guitar or bass setup, providing a smooth and even response and pairing nicely with your external IRs and speaker cabinets.

Flexible tone shaping

The Para Driver DI's circuitry and active EQ give acoustic-electrics a natural, balanced voice, turn direct bass signals into tight, focused power, and add rich nuance to electric guitars. Engage the Rumble Filter or Air switch to refine your tone further, cutting boom and handling noise or adding clarity and shimmer. With up to ±12dB of boost or cut on every band, the Para Driver DI V2 makes any instrument truly performance-ready.

Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver DI Features:

  • Active DI preamp pedal suited to a variety of instruments
  • Analog SansAmp circuitry adds warmth, weight, and tube-like presence to any instrument
  • Active 3-band EQ with sweepable mids and 12dB of cut or boost
  • Blend control lets you mix SansAmp character with your clean signal
  • Rumble Filter switch removes boom and handling noise for tighter low end
  • Air switch adds clarity and sparkle to acoustics, electrics, and even vocals
  • Multiple output options: XLR, 1/4-in., and parallel dry out for flexible routing
  • Built-in speaker/cab sim designed for a smooth, tailored response

Reviews

If you're a bassist, you need this
The Tech21 Bass Driver and Para Driver pedals are the gold standard of electric bass preamp tone. They're pretty similar, and they're both great. The BDDI has a "presence" control, where the Para Driver has a sweepable mid. I personally prefer the latter, but that's just me. Either way, your tone is going to improve at least 100%. (Pro tip: run the output of the pedal directly into your amp's effects return, bypassing the amp's preamp. thank me later.)

Just what I needed
This box does everything I need it to do. I used it primarily for electric bass on a silent stage, but have also used it for acoustic guitar in club environment with excellent results. The sound men I have worked with are equally pleased with it's performance. It gives me all the tone flexibility I get from dedicated amps and lets me fit well in the mix

The Best Bass Preamp
this was recommended to me by a seasoned guitarist and Maan.
The bass guitar just popped
I could hear every note my bassist was playing tody.
I use waves superrack with a lot og plugins just to make my bass guitar shie in the mix.
bust after plugging this in i took all plugins off and just used Bass rider and my onboard eq .
This sounded so good My bassist had a smile on his face all day long .
I highly recommend this preamp for every bassist out there who wants some pressence in thier guitar notes.
A must have
My last SansAmp driver, I purchased used 30 years ago, just developed an issue. I would not play without it, so without hesitation the new one was on the way. This one has many more options and settings. So far I'm using the SVT setting with my Fender Jazz Bass. It sounds fantastic.Rick
