Give Every Track the Weight It Deserves
Inspired by the legendary ’50s-era EQP-style tube equalizer, the Behringer EQP possesses the uncanny ability to improve the sound of audio simply by passing signal through it — even before you touch a knob. This handsome, inductor-based hardware features classic EQP-style controls, arming you with switchable frequency selection and variable bandwidth, bolstered by the magical curves you’ve heard all over your favorite records. We’re huge devotees of this design here at Sweetwater. Whether you want to add heft to your kick drum, bring more air to your vocals, or infuse your mix bus with extra weight, the EQP is ready and willing to oblige. Complete with premium tubes and custom-built Midas transformers, the Behringer EQP will inject your productions with the ear-grabbing harmonic complexity that they’re missing.

Behringer: a brief history
Uli Behringer showed an interest in music technology design at a young age, building his own synthesizer by the time he was 16. In 1982, Uli began studying sound engineering and classical piano at the Robert Schumann conservatory in Düsseldorf, Germany. Uli’s defining moment came when he was repairing a signal processor made by a high-end manufacturer. Despite the processor’s expensive price tag, Uli realized that its internal components could be bought for a fraction of the cost. Being a strapped-for-cash student, Uli began building his own signal processors. Before he knew it, other students began requesting equipment from him. In 1989, after being bombarded with more orders than he could handle alone, Uli created Behringer, Inc.
