Reviews

Good solid drum seat
Using for a younger guitar player as a daily practice seat/setup. It certainly supports their smaller frame well, but I have sat on it and felt comfortable and well supported with my 220lbs 6ft frame. The legs and hardware are robust, and seems like it will hold up very well for our purposes!
Music background: several decades playing guitar
Sturdy and comfortable
This is a huge improvement for me; but I was basically sitting on a piece of plywood before. The stand is very sturdy and I am very pleased with the seat. Wish I had this years ago!
Best for the price
Feels great and comes in at a great price so I can't complain!

On-Stage MDT2
I needed a throne that was comfortable and yet was not bulky & heavy to pack & carry. The MDT2 was perfect for both of these needs.
Really solid!
Keep in mind I'm a total beginner on drums, so I might not know what to look for. But just looking at it mechanically, this thing is great! At the time I bought it, it was the cheapest throne on Sweetwater, so I figured it might be a little rickety, like a cheap music stand--which for me as a beginner would be fine. But the metal is really high-quality and thick, and the folding locking mechanism and seat raising mechanism feel super solid. It doesn't have any give when I wiggle around on it, feels like it is made of just one piece. The feet are big and solid and don't slip on my drum rug. The seat is firm and comfortable and feels good quality. Again, I don't know what a pro would think. But as a beginner, I'm really surprised by the quality of this thing for the price!
Music background: 35 years serious amateur on bass, just learning drums. I do writing and home recording. Punk, art rock, math rock, classical.
