Does the job
Exactly what i expected, pretty good build quality for the price, not something you'd wanna put heavy or expensive mics on but i don't have any worries about it being able to hold up the weight of my mics at all
good
good stand but, a little bit size
Pretty good . . . . BUT . . . .
OK so this is actually a decent mic stand for the desk. The problem I had with it is I am using a Rod Procaster mic with it which is a pretty heavy microphone. At the Stand's longest setting of 18", it wants fall down. You really have to crank it down, or reduce the length of the arm to support the microphone. If you have a lighter weight mic, you won't have a problem and it works well.
Not for heavy microphones.
I bought this to use with my new Rode podcasting microphone. It's a good size and form factor, the clamp seems very sturdy, but i cannot tighten the knobs enough to support this microphone in use, even at only partial extension of the arm. Even if it did hold the mike well, the knobs are weak-feeling and hard to operate.

way too short
I have a few of these. I buy them, then toss the extension pole and replace with one from an old mic stand. the problem is On Stage tubing is too big to fit in the mechanism. DR Pro fits, but is loose. they dont use a standard size. I am a piano player. I mount these on my pianos. the next size up is a bending arm... I do not want anything like that.

They need to make a MBA30 with a simple strait tube.
