Ichika Nito's Signature Headless 6-string

Although most of his viral YouTube videos come in at under a minute, Ichika Nito's immense talent leaves a lasting impression. Indeed, as one of today's leading internet guitar personalities, Ichika has made waves online thanks to his world-class performances and impeccable technique. With the Ibanez Ichika Signature ICHI10, you are one step closer to harnessing the skill of one of Japan's most virtuosic performers! This 6-string headless guitar boasts an understated nyatoh body with a gorgeous 3-piece roasted maple/bubinga neck capped with roasted birdseye maple, perfect for nailing that timeless Strat feel yet optimized with updated features to handle the needs of today's players. Three R-1 pickups deliver the full range of single-coil tones, with a dyna-MIX8 switching system for unleashing even more scintillating sounds. Throw in stainless steel frets and luminescent side dots, and it comes as no surprise that the Ibanez Ichika Signature ICHI10 has made its way to the top of countless Sweetwater wish lists.

Top-shelf tonewoods for a melodic master

Ibanez equipped the ICHI10 with high-performing woods throughout to handle Ichika Nito's unique style and performances, which has resulted in one of the sleekest and most straightforward headless guitars on the market. A nyatoh body forms a solid foundation for the ICHI10's resonant, ear-pleasing tone, with a striking 3-piece roasted maple and bubinga neck that rests comfortably in your fretting hand in all positions. Speaking of the neck, Ibanez shaped it to an effortlessly playable Wizard "C" profile — quite fitting for the guitar wizardry Ichika cooks up. A roasted birdseye maple fingerboard rounds out the ICHI10's intoxicating tonewood cocktail, imbuing plenty of speed for fast playing across all 24 frets while adding an eye-grabbing "pop" to the overall instrument.

Coveted single-coil sounds and so much more

Needless to say, the ICHI10 is geared to meet the demands of today's progressive players. That being said, its high-powered electronics serve up single-coil tones that are sure to please Strat lovers the world over. Ibanez threw a trio of their R-1 single-coil pickups into the ICHI10 to achieve just that, conjuring the crisp, clean tone of timeless single-coils with plenty of brightness and shimmer. This is made even better with the onboard dyna-MIX8 switching system and Alter Switch. With this sophisticated switching system, a wealth of different pickup tones is at your disposal, all accessed with a standard 5-way blade. Set the Alter Switch to off, and you get your standard SSS pickup positions. Flip the Alter Switch to on, and the ICHI10's tonal versatility is exponentially increased, with different positions unlocking series-connected single-coil sounds. From creamy cleans to tight and focused crunch, the ICHI10 handles it all with aplomb.

Reviews

best tone i have ever heard
This guitar is perfect in so many ways. I would highly recommend this guitar for people used to acoustic electrics or traditional strat necks this thing is built to facilitate finger picking and tapping and all those styles. I've been an acoustic player for many years and this is the one electric built to accommodate my math rock style. This thing is extremely comfortable and the tone is phenomenal it's so good you don't even need to spend hundreds to upgrade for a better tone the tone is bell like and crystal clear and sounds like a live concert. The only con for me and this is personal is getting used to jumbo frets can be weird at first and will take a while if you're used to traditional fenders or acoustic guitars and have that grip.
Great guitar/Greater Sweetwater Service.
The guitar is fantastic, it has become my #1 and thats saying alot as my collection has some heavy hitters in it. Focus on the word heavy, This guitar weighs in at 4lbs and change. I have an old spinal cord injury and broke my neck in 2 places three years ago. The light weight, high quality Ichika signature model is the answer, extremely versatile sounds and awesome playability, it checks all the boxes. Now this is why I deal with Sweetwater for all my personal and professional needs. I received my guitar and after 2 days the B string micro tuner froze. I called my rep Paul Allen who connected me to returns and I had a new guitar sent next day express at no coast to me. I called on Monday afternoon and had a new guitar on Wednesday, no questions asked. It is simply the best service in the musical industry.
I will address an issue I saw another review listed that may help. They stated they couldn't get the action low enough even with neck adjustment and lowering the saddles. I can see that could happen although they didn't say their definition of "low action" for some 3mm might be low others want it helf that, that is where I am at. I set my guitars up 1.5 mm at the 12th fret. To do this with the ICH10 I hade to file the nut slot down .5 mm. If you don't have the tool or ability, take it to a good set guy and he should be able to do it. This guitar can be set up to be shred tastic should you need it to be.

love this guitar
1st off, the only somewhat negative thing i can say about this and the ibanez Q52,
(i have both) is that even with the saddles as low as theyll go the action is a little high for my liking. i installed a .25 degree shim on both and it made all the difference. they both play amazingly well now. the fret work is excellent, not only are they stainless steel but the ends are rounded and the frets are polished really well, super smooth. the hardware is excellent. the weight is great, right around 5 pounds!! love that! i will say this, if something happened to those guitars i would replace them immediately. i highly recommend these guitars for anyone looking for a quality headless.
Ergonomic perfection
I've had mine for three weeks and can't put it down. It's ridiculously light and perfectly balanced, and the way the body is sculpted is super comfortable sitting and standing.

The 3-piece roasted maple/bubinga neck looks and feels great, and the mop front dots, glow-in-the-dark side dots and highly polished gold frets really set if off, visually.

The fretwork is great, highly polished, with no sharp ends and low action.

Love the way the strings are attached at the neck. Much easier to change than hipshot hardware.

To me, I'm a Strat guy, and this keeps all the things I love about them—scale length, pickup configuration and quacky tones. But gets rid of the things I don't like, like weight, floating tremolo, and tuning problems. You can bend as heavy as you want, this thing never goes out of tune.
Lightweight guitar with amazing versatility
I absolutely love this guitar. It's the first Ibanez I have ever owned, and it is easily one of the best guitars in my collection. I couldn't believe how light it is and how amazing it feels to play. The tones you can get from this guitar are so crisp and bright. You'll fall in love playing this guitar
