Ergonomic perfection

By Sweetwater Customer on March 15, 2023

I've had mine for three weeks and can't put it down. It's ridiculously light and perfectly balanced, and the way the body is sculpted is super comfortable sitting and standing.

The 3-piece roasted maple/bubinga neck looks and feels great, and the mop front dots, glow-in-the-dark side dots and highly polished gold frets really set if off, visually.

The fretwork is great, highly polished, with no sharp ends and low action.

Love the way the strings are attached at the neck. Much easier to change than hipshot hardware.

To me, I'm a Strat guy, and this keeps all the things I love about them—scale length, pickup configuration and quacky tones. But gets rid of the things I don't like, like weight, floating tremolo, and tuning problems. You can bend as heavy as you want, this thing never goes out of tune.

Lightweight guitar with amazing versatility

By Alex on December 23, 2022

I absolutely love this guitar. It's the first Ibanez I have ever owned, and it is easily one of the best guitars in my collection. I couldn't believe how light it is and how amazing it feels to play. The tones you can get from this guitar are so crisp and bright. You'll fall in love playing this guitar

Great instrument Ibanez Ichika Signature ICHI10 - Vintage White Matte

By Dave S on December 20, 2022

Ibanez ICHI10-Vintage White Matte Killer sound,killer body & neck,Feels like a quality Strat without a head-stock!
The Well built by Cor-Tek Indonesia. Lets compare it to Strandberg. I own several Strandbergs which were also built by Cor-Tek Indonesia. By comparison... Gold fret vs Stainless Steel (call it a tie), Excellent hardware on both brands (again a tie), Super light weight (again a tie although it's the ICH110 is lighter than any of my Strandbergs) great balance with no dive (a tie). Love the roasted neck and fret-board (something Strandberg no longer offers!) Most importantly NO Veneer top (I will take paint over a paper thin Veneer! I love this guitar however I prefer the Strandbergs due to the ability to play seated in classical style and the EndurNeck. For the record, everything about the ICH110 is quality equal to any of my strandbergs yet it'much less than Half The Price! A++

Wow

I was at a shop and tried every guitar out but didn't expect such a great unit. It looks really dumb to me because of no head but plays like a champ.

A wonderful buy!

By Sweetwater Customer on October 14, 2022

There's a lot I love about this guitar. It holds intonation incredibly well, weighs basically nothing, has a really respectable tonal variety, and is the ULTIMATE couch guitar because it's size means you can noodle around or just practice whatever drill unplugged while watching shows! I found some people on forums saying they had issues with it snapping 1st strings during string change, but I feel like they just might not have been following instructions. Look up the YouTube video from Ibanez, do what it says, and you're golden.

i can't stop playing this guitar!!

By Sweetwater Customer on October 12, 2022

ordered one of these from sweetwater with hopes that it would live up to the reviews i have seen. it surpassed all of my expectations!! i got it 2 days after ordering, and havent been able to put it down since. the tones that you can get from this thing are incredible!! AND, it plays better than any guitar i have ever owned; i was worried that the neck would be 'too skinny', like the old wizard necks, i found it to be perfect though! this guitar is amazing and i would not hesitate to buy another one of these(or any of them from the quest line up) in the future.

Beautiful guitar!!

By Jorge on September 16, 2022 Music Background: Rock, Blues, Pop

Excellent guitar, its well constructed, I didn't found any issues with the build quality.
The pickups sound really good really clean and sparkly i was surprised.
The guitar weights nothing man!! Really light and confortable.
The neck feels really close to my Ibanez Az's.
The intonation was on point.
I only have to lower the saddles to improve the action, it was a little high for my liking.

Overall great guitar! Thanks Mike Brant for the support buying the guitar you rock!!

Beautiful and So Lush

By Joshua from Pharr, Tx on May 24, 2022

Guitar sounds amazing. Beautiful high crisps and dark lows, very clean tone. Also the guitar weighs practically nothing. I have a hard time jumping back to my fender start because this just feels really good, you have to experience it. Easy string change, easy maintenance, worth it.

Very impressive guitar

By JF from PA on October 6, 2021 Music Background: Playing 20 years

Beautiful out of the box. The action was not to my preference so I dropped string height 3/4 mm and set the intonation which was a breeze. The wizard neck is great, the fret board feels very nice, the JESCAR frets make playing effortless, and the neck join is really minimal. The guitar is remarkably comfortable due to extensive ergonomic shaping while the thin body, headless design and cut out for the tuners make it really light. Not gonna lie, between shape and weight this guitar has ruined me for other guitars.
The electronics are where this thing shines. The three R1s, the 5 way and the Alter switch make this guitar so very, very versatile. Tone can be bright and bell-like, clear and smooth, sharp and a little spanky though it has no trouble finding full rich sounds and warm tones with clear articulation, even has a setting that'll get close to a humbucker in the bridge. I lose hours as I find myself experimenting with various pick up configurations and jumping from math rock to jazz to blues and things in between. Side note, there is a useful guide to the pick ups, 5 way and the Alter switch on the Ibanez website; highly recommend taking a look at it.
Lastly, huge shout out and many thanks to my SE, Brian Dillon, for bringing the ICHI10 demo to my attention.

I like it

By Sweetwater Customer from VA on December 12, 2023

Here's what I like. Lightweight, neck profile, easy to conform setup to my personal preference.
What I was a bit uneasy about before buying but turned out to be nonissues. Pickups.. nope they're good output is comparable to guitars in this price range so you don't have to tweak your gain structure when switching guitars.. much. These will find a place in your mix. I was a bit unsure about the tuners on the bridge.. turns out that's a non-issue as well, they work just fine and generally the guitar stays in tune and doesn't require much twiddling anyway.
Why just 4 stars.. the volume pot probably should not have made it thru a quality insurance inspection before it got sent to ibanez or when the guitar left ibanez. Easy replacement, sweetwater techs were attentive and helpful. If you're interested in this body style, this one isn't a bad pick IMO as it'll give you a nice player, decent travel/practice axe, and a useful tool for your mixes with multiple guitar parts.
