Classic British FET Compression
The H2 Audio H760 is a spot-on re-creation of the vaunted Audio Design & Recording-designed FET compressor modules that Helios featured in its '60s-era consoles. Every connoisseur of late-'60s British rock knows the H760, which was famously deployed on Led Zeppelin's classic "When the Levee Breaks" for drum-slamming duties. This module's Input knob enables you to dial in your preferred amount of compression. The H760 includes a fixed threshold and six pre-selected ratios, along with six pre-selected attack times, eight release times, and an auto-release function. You also get a separate limiter threshold and an analog gain reduction meter. Want to get your hands on one of the best-kept secrets in recording history? Easy-to-dial in compression
The engineers here at Sweetwater have found that getting a great sound out of the H2 Audio H760 is a walk in the park. It includes a fixed threshold, and its Ratio rotary switch gives you six pre-selected ratios. Its Attack mS rotary switch supplies you with selectable 0.25mS, 0.5mS, 1mS, 2.5mS, 10mS, or 25mS attack times; and its Release Sec rotary switch gives you .025s, 0.05s, 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.4s, 0.8s, 1.6s, or 3.2s release times. You also get an A setting that deploys an auto dual-platform release function, allowing for fast transient recovery or a build-up slow release. Finally, the H760's analog meter displays your amount of gain reduction from 0–20dB.
