What are the recommended Control Panel and memory settings for Unity DS-1?

The defaults will always work, but we BitHeadz find that Setting:

Voices=32-64
CPU%=50
Buffer Length=64
Sample Rate=44.1kHz
Memory=Variable!!!
The Control Panel is the Heart of the DS-1 Engine; it requires:
7 megs of memory to operate + the desired Sample Ram.
Example: I need 33megs of Sample RAM…to do this I set the Control Panel Memory for 33+7 megs or a total of 40megs (40,000). Keep in mind that this needs to fit into memory after the System is loaded and any other Sequencer app, etc. ….if not enough memory is available you will get the message “Cannot Connect with Sampler Engine”. In this case, set the Unity memory a bit lower in order to fit into system memory.
The Editor Application also requires memory: this can be set by using the Command-I keystroke while the Unity DS-1 Editor Icon is selected. Set the Editor’s memory for slightly less than the engine but never more.
The Editor requires 4 megs + Sample Ram. This, along with the engine’s memory setting must fit into available system RAM.
Example: I have my Control Panel Set for 40,000 (40megs) and the Editor set for 37,000 (37megs) While this will provide me with 33megs of Sample Ram to edit it also requires 77megs of system RAM .
The bottom line here is “more memory is better”.
Also of note:
You may further optimize the Editor by setting the Preferences from the Edit Menu.
