VS880 backup info
There is no way to select individual songs other than to do it from the “song select” menu that we spoke of earlier; alternative would be to use the “All” feature to back up everything in the VS880..Also, you can “archive” all the songs in the VS, but you need to have enough disks on hand to do this.. Again, this is done by using the “All” feature..To restore the data from the Archive,you need to use the ” extract feature” Another tidbit is that you can’t load individual songs back into VS880 that were “archived”, you have to load the entire Archive.. The last thing is that you Must format any disk you are using, and If you have a disk that has something Archived on it already, you will not be able to store “playable” (incremental) files on that drive.. If you try to the message is ..”error, unformatted disk” or if you choose “archive” the VS880 will give the now familiar ” you will lose data” message..
