Can I use the Rbus connection to my computer to update the OS of my Roland VM-series mixer or VS-series hard disk recorder?
No. The mode you must be in to update the OS of the mixers or recorders is a very basic part of the OS which has not initialized the Rbus. No Rbus, no Rbus MIDI- the MIDI connection does not exist. Therefore, you must use a separate MIDI interface.
