Unisyn — No Reply from Instrument error in MOTU Symphonic Instrument.
Generally the “No Reply” error refers to an incorrectly set device ID, or signal flow issue. Make sure that the device ID in FreeMIDI or Audio MIDI Setup matches the SySex ID of the instrument. Make sure your instrument is connected bidirectionally (midi in and out) and that both midi cables work. Make sure the device is setup for sysex as per the info in profile help for that device and the manual for that device (everything Unisyn does is SySex, so it’s vital the device be setup for SySex communication internally). Make sure you have the latest version of MIDI drviers for your MIDI interface. Try a hard reset of your MIDI interface.
