How many tracks does the ESBTDM really give me?
The Emagic System Bridge internally connects this new Logic Audio engine to the TDM mixer with no additional hardware requirements and with no compromise in sound quality. To accomplish this connection, the Direct TDM driver provides up to 8 mono audio streams or 4 stereo pairs which can be fed into the TDM auxiliary channels. TDM plug ins can be freely used in the TDM auxiliary channels for further sound processing. This “bridging” of the native Logic Audio engine with the TDM mixer effectively enables users to allocate and combine the processing resources of both the host computer’s CPU and the DSP of suitable Pro Tools hardware. It also extends the processing, mixing and creative capabilities of a united Pro Tools and Logic Audio system.
