The Akai MPX8 Editor won’t see my MPX8.
This is normal. The MPX8 Editor and the MPX8 do not communicate with each other.
The Editor can create, load, and save .KIT files. These can then be loaded to the MPX8 from the SD card when you insert it into the MPX8’s SD card slot.
When you connect the MPX8 to your computer via USB, you can play the MPX8 with a program of your choice (Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MPC software, etc.) via MIDI. The USB connection is not designed to communicate with the MPX8 Editor.
