How do I test the audio hard drives in my Creation Station for consistency?
You can test your hard drives’ consistency by using a utility called SeaTools. Here’s how:
1. Go to: http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools
2. Click “Download SeaTools for DOS now!” (located on the download tab)
3. Read and Accept the agreement.
4. Enter you email address and any other relevant info, the submit it.
5. Download the graphical .iso file for your preferred language. Choose to save the file to your desktop, rather than run it.
Once you’ve downloaded the .iso, you will need to burn it as a disk image. You can use the Nero utility included on your Creation Station to do this:
6. Open Nero Express.
7. Choose “Disk image or saved project.”
8. Navigate to and choose the .iso you just downloaded.
9. Burn the image to disk.
To run SeaTools, you will need to boot to the .iso CD you just created:
10. Press F-8 during post on a fresh reboot.
11. Select the DVD drive as your boot device.
SeaTools will now be running. You can perform a variety of tests on your drives.
