TC Electronic Software Activation Instructions
Getting Started
In this guide, we will show you how to activate and access your TC Electronic software licensed with iLok License Manager. To continue, follow each of the sections below.
iLok Account
iLok licensed software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the login before proceeding. If this is your first iLok licensed software, create an iLok User ID to deposit your licenses instead. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…
IMPORTANT! iLok User IDs are case-sensitive. To reset your password or recover your iLok User ID, go to the iLok Account Recovery page.
IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple iLok User IDs if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.
Download and install iLok License Manager
- Go to iLok’s iLok License Manager page and click the download button that is compatible with your computer.
- Open your Downloads folder and run the installer:
- PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Open iLok License Manager and log in with your new iLok User ID.
Log in to current iLok account
- Open iLok License Manager.
- Log in with your current iLok User ID.
- View your account’s licenses to verify the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.
Create new iLok User ID
- Go to iLok’s Account Registration page.
- Complete the registration form and click Create Account.
- Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the included verification link.
Plugivery Account
TC Electronic software also requires a Plugivery account. If you already have a Plugivery account and want to register your new software to that account, please verify the login before proceeding. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may choose to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…
IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple Plugivery accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.
Log in to current Plugivery account
- Go to the My Plugivery Manager page and click Connect.
- Enter your current login and click Sign-in to My Plugivery Manager.
- Verify your current products are registered to the current account.
Create new Plugivery account
- Go to the My Plugivery Manager page and click connect.
- Click Create my Account.
- Complete the form and click Create My Account.
- Sign in using your new login to verify your account.
Redeem Code and iLok Activation Code
Sweetwater has emailed you the Redeem Code for your software. Open the email, find the Redeem Code, and then follow the steps below to redeem it with Plugivery. Once done you will receive an iLok Activation Code, which is registered in the iLok License Manager app.
Enter Redeem Code
- Go to the My Plugivery Manager page and click Connect.
- Enter your current login and click Sign-in to My Plugivery Manager.
- Go to the Redeem Code page.
- Enter your Redeem Code and click Next Step.
- Complete the form and click Proceed.
- Your iLok Activation Code and download link(s) will be delivered to the registered email address.
Register Activation Code
- Open the iLok License Manager app.
- Go to Licenses, then click Redeem Activation Code.
- Alternatively, click the “..I” button (next to the search bar) to view the prompt.
- Enter your Activation Code and click Next.
Activate iLok License
- Click the Available tab.
- Drag and drop your license to an eligible location.
- Wait for the license transfer to complete.
Download and Installation
TC Electronic iLok software download links have been sent to your registered email address. You can also access them along with their iLok Activation Codes from your Plugivery account. Optionally, TC Electronic software can be downloaded directly from their Downloads page. The trial becomes fully activated once the iLok Activation Code is registered and the license activated.
Download and install software
- Log in to your Plugivery account.
- Click Licenses to view your registered products.
- Follow the instructions to download and install your TC Electronic software.
- Or go to the TC Electronics Downloads page, search for your product, and then download the installer compatible with your operating system.

If you do not, interest will be charged on the promo balance from the purchase date. The required minimum monthly payments may or may not pay off the promo balance before the end of the promo period, depending on purchase amount, promo length and payment allocation. Regular account terms apply to non-promo purchases and, after promo period ends, to the promo balance. New Accounts as of 07/31/2025: Purchase APR is 34.99%. Penalty APR is 39.99%. The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
