TAL Software Activation Instructions
In this guide, we will show you how to register, download, and activate your new Tal Software plug-in. The process is straightforward, so follow the steps below to get started.
Activate the plug-in
The first step in the TAL Software registration process is to create an account and activate the software using the activation code you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
- Log into your TAL Software account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one now.
- Go to the TAL Software activation page, then copy and paste the activation code you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
- A License Key will be emailed to you, which you will need to register the plug-in.
Click the image to activate your TAL Software product.
Download the software
IMPORTANT: PC Users MUST install the software to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. It will not appear in your DAW if installed in any other location.
Once you’ve activated your virtual instrument, the next step is to download and install the latest demo version for your OS. You can access the download via the product page or through your account page.
- Go to your TAL Software account and click the link next to “Product Page”. This will take you to the software’s product page.
- Alternatively, go to the main Products page, and locate the plug-in you purchased.
- Click on the Download link associated with your OS. Once downloaded, navigate to your Downloads folder, then extract and launch the installer.
- PC users: There are three separate installers: VST3, AAX, and CLAP. If you are a Pro Tools user, be sure to launch the AAX installer. If you’re a Bitwig user, launch the CLAP installer.
Register the software
After installing your virtual instrument, you will need to launch your DAW, load the plug-in onto an empty instrument track, and use the Serial Key from TAL to complete the activation process.
- Go to your email, and copy the Serial Key TAL sent you (including –COPY LICENSE KEY FROM HERE — and –COPY UNTIL HERE–).
- You can also get the Serial Key from your TAL Software account page.
- Launch your DAW, then load the plug-in on an empty Instrument track.
- Click the Default preset name to open the menu to find the Register Plugin option.
- Paste the Serial Key, click OK, then close and relaunch the plug-in.
Enter the serial key when you load the plug-in within your DAW.

The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
