My sound is distorted, how can I fix this?
Distorted sound is usually an indication of either an incorrect setting with the audio output, or a data bandwidth issue.
Since Phrazer has the ability to play audio directly from the hard – disk (default setting) or from the computers RAM, too many audio tracks can exceed the bandwidth of your hard-disk causing the output to distort. Go to the Edit menu > Preferences to the the Engine Tab and change the playback setting from Disk to RAM. The more RAM available to Phrazer, the more loop tracks you will be able to play back simultaneously. The only limit to how much RAM you can allocate to Phrazer is the amount available on the computer less the amount used by any other open application and the Operating System.
Distorted audio may also be the result of incorrect Engine settings such as the Sample Rate or CPU Percentage. Also, if you are using audio other than SoundManager, as would
be the case with a third party sound card, settings of less than 16 bit, 44.1 or insufficient headroom can also cause distortion.
