I use Sonar 2.0 XL and would like to record the B4. I’ve used the B4 as standalone for a couple of months, but I’ve learned that I can use it as a Dxi plug-in for Sonar. In the book, it says to install from the CD and choose Dxi plug-in. However, my CD installation doesn’t have that choice when I do custom install.
You can use the B4 in a DXi environment however, not all copies of the B4 cd have the DXi plugin. You can download the DXi patch as well as the B4 update from our site. Here’s the link: http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?id=updatesb4_us
